Compassion Pure Heart | Cap Haitien, Haiti

In May of 2012, Javier Mendoza of Connect Global was introduced by Levi Kirwin to Pastor Julio Jean Gilles in Haiti. During this trip to the northern coast of the beautiful country of Haiti, we observed the severe need for sustainable, focused, positive Change. Pastor Julio has already accomplished so much in his tenure as Pastor of the Church of Bethesda in the village of Madeline, just outside the city of Cap Haitien. Together with a group of experienced and committed Haitian leaders, Pastor Julio has transformed 5 acres of rural farm land into a highly active church, and productive primary school of 200 children.
The Next Step...
Pastor Julio has a vision to further improve and expand this beautiful property in Madeline. He wants to create opportunity for more students to come and get their education regardless of the family's ability to pay tuition, as well as create a continuing education program for older students and initiate job creation processes for those who would commit to improving themselves and their community in a sustainable way.
Connect Global is committed to Pastor Julio in word and deed by becoming an advocate for his work and a champion of the cause in Cap Haitien Haiti.
We are seeking churches and individuals who feel a burden for the people of Haiti to partner with us.
We are looking for those who would not only donate for the sake of charity, but those who want to invest in a sustainably life-changing program, that will forever change the lives of those in this community in Northern Haiti.

Going Beyond Financial Support

We believe the strategic path to sustainable change in this community starts with Aquaponics. (You can find the full definition of Aquaponics by clicking here).
Aquaponics will allow for the creation and implementation of a renewable method of raising Tilapia alongside hydroponically-grown leafy vegetation.
This will substantially increase Pastor Julio's ability to not only provide food for his family, but for the school children of Madeline, his church and the outside community.
The first stage of this process was completed the first week in November of 2012.
To Join us, you can GO to Haiti with us to install the system, or you can make a donation towards the overall cost of the project.
